When I say that if we aren’t diligent about what we put into our environment that we live in a cloud of toxins I am not kidding.
Every day everyone is exposed to hundreds of toxins. They enter our bodies through various means including the air we breathe, the food we eat, the products we use, the environment we live in and lead to detrimental effects on our health and well-being
What Could It Hurt?
Living with toxins can lead to a range of health issues, including respiratory problems, skin irritations, hormonal imbalances, digestive disorders, and weakened immune function. And if that’s not bad enough, it’s worse for our children than it is us. Over time, these toxins can accumulate in our bodies and contribute to chronic illnesses and diseases.
What Can We Change?
By adopting a lifestyle that aims to reduce or eliminate exposure to toxins, we can enhance our overall well-being. This includes making conscious choices in areas such as personal care products, cleaning supplies, home furnishings, and even the foods we consume. It also involves implementing detoxification practices to support the body’s natural ability to eliminate toxins.
It’s easy to get overwhelmed by the thought of making our home environment “perfect” for our families but it doesn’t have to be. Get my free checklist here to start your journey to toxin free living.

As a mom, I understand the importance of providing a healthy environment for my family to grow and thrive. That’s why I’ve made it my mission to incorporate clean living practices into our daily lives. It’s not always easy, but I believe it’s worth the effort to ensure the well-being of my little family – me included!
In this blog post, I’ll share my reasons for adopting these practices and some tips for how you can do it too.
Reducing Exposure to Toxins Toxins are found in many household products from cleaning supplies to furniture. By purchasing products that are free of harmful chemicals, we can reduce our exposure to these toxins.
This is especially important for children: their tiny bodies are still developing immune systems and are more vulnerable to the negative effects of toxins. I make sure to read product labels thoroughly and choose ones that are natural and organic.
Reducing Plastic Waste Plastic pollution has a detrimental effect on our environment, wildlife, and ultimately our health. By reducing our use of plastic products such as straws, water bottles, and food containers, we can make a positive impact on the planet.
I’ve found that switching to reusable products like water bottles, cloth shopping bags, and silicone food storage containers has been an easy way to reduce our plastic waste. And since we are adding reusable products at home, we are saving money in the long run! Supporting Sustainable Practices Choosing products that are sustainably produced supports practices that are beneficial to the environment. For example, purchasing organic produce supports farmers who use sustainable farming techniques which preserve the quality of the soil and reduce the use of toxic pesticides.
By supporting sustainable practices, we can help create a healthier world for future generations. The best part of switching to clean living is this comes as a by product of cleaning up your living space!
Promoting Health and Wellness Clean living and toxin-free practices promote overall health and wellness. By avoiding products with harmful chemicals and eating whole foods, we can nourish our bodies and change or prevent health problems. Can you see the snowball effect? Starting small leads to big changes and it all starts with saying yes to making a health living space!
Setting an Example for Children As parents, we are role models for our children. By incorporating clean living practices, we can set an example for our children and teach them the importance of caring for themselves and the planet. I involve my kids in choosing natural products and encourage them to make “clean choices”. It’s rewarding to see them adopt similar practices and feel a sense of responsibility for the world around them.
Making the transition to a plastic-free, toxin-free and clean living lifestyle may seem overwhelming at first, but there are small changes you can make that will have a big impact. By reducing your exposure to toxins, promoting sustainability, and supporting your family’s health and wellness, you’ll create a healthier environment for yourself and your loved ones. And by setting an example for your children, you’ll inspire them to make choices that benefit their health and the planet. Together, we can make a difference.
